“The Maze Runner” by James Dashner” continues to captivate me. There is not one boring page where I’d feel like taking a break. No, on the contrary, if I’d have more time only, I would probably have finished it by now. Thomas, the main character, has a hard time coming to grips with this new place he mysteriously ended up in. Still, he can’t remember anything from his formal life, although he has a strange feeling that he has been here before. Thomas is determined to become a “runner”. Runners are the guys who tries to find a way out of this hell hole, the maze,  and at the same time try to escape from being killed by “Grievers”. Grievers are big creatures with the size of a cow that have saw blades, shears, and long rods sticking out from their body. Seems impossible to me, but I am confident that Thomas will eventually come up with new ideas. He becomes friends with a guy named Chuck and enemy with a bully called Gally. Alby, one of the leaders gives Thomas a “tour” and explains the rules of the maze. All of a sudden this loud noise is heard and the metal box where Thomas came in, is on its way up again. This is extremely rare, because there is only one person per months that comes through. Now all of a sudden two people in two days? Something is going on. When the box is opened they find a girl in it. This shocks them all since this is an “all guy place”, I would call it. More to come…
